I got to know about World Vision 2 or 3 years back when our co-founder was explaining to me how the organization works and its purpose. World Vision is a Christian relief, development and advocacy organisation dedicated to working with children, families and communities to overcome poverty and injustice.

I was looking at their programs where the organization provide many different types of aid for the needy children/family around the globe; such as :-

Healthcare:

-Allows medical checkups, dental treatment and training for health workers to be conducted

Education:

-Conducts informal education classes and provides education facilities

Training:

-Train parents in income generation skills to help them support their families

Social development:

-Increases awareness and understanding on issues such as child rights and family violence
and many more.

It came to our attention three months back and now we are sponsoring a child from Ba Thuoc, Vietnam. World Vision update us through e-mails/letters about their progress report and their relief effort. Sometimes the child will send us writings/drawings as her way of expressing herself. (maybe this time i will do some artwork and send it to her).

Her dream is to be a doctor one day and she’s only 5 years old. very realistic. When I was 5,.it’s ok. Anyways, It is a good experience for us to lend a hand to them and definitely looking forward to provide more to help them. Moreover, it is an eye opener to us about life itself.
